Well, yesterday was a relaxing, enjoyable vacation-like day! We even had a chance to workout on the track before today’s race. Andi ran a strong 3xmile workout while I did some drills, miles, and strides. Here’s some specifics!
First, Stanford updates: see yesterday’s post for schedule and final heat sheets information. Also, in order to watch the live feed from flotrack.org, you will need to actually login to flotrack or create a username/password. It is entirely free and well-worthwhile to see races live like this. Keep in mind, it will take a few minutes to do so, so you may want to begin the process 10 min. before race time to be sure you do not miss the race!
Second, Andi and I started the day with a nice continental breakfast in our hotel (great bagels!) and decided to check out the Stanford Shopping Center early in the day. It was a great time, even though neither of us really like shopping much. The place was simply beautiful, and our lunch was delicious!
USB man, better known as a 4-port USB splitter, has brought us a few laughs!
Third, we relaxed by the pool for a while, I grading tests in the shade and Andi “sun-bathing” by the pool.
Fourth, we jogged from our hotel to the track (less than 2 miles away!) for packet pick-up and Andi’s workout.
Finally, we concluded the day with dinner and a movie (sort of). Olive Garden never sleeps when trackies are in town! Chicken Alfredo with a bowl of Zuppa and bread sticks galore!
After dinner, we didn’t actually get to see a movie. Instead, we drove around looking for a yogurt shop that didn’t exist (well, it apparently did, in a completely different place), and we watched 2.5 episodes of NCIS in our room. Another great day! Next time you read this blog, we hope to be planning a trip to Eugene in a few months!

I hope you didn’t miss out on Sweet Tea yogurt shop. Nicole and I had yogurt there in Washington DC and it was the best! Wish we had one in MI.
Glad you’re enjoying your time in Cali! I’m excited to watch the race tonight!
No… I think it was called Yogurt Stop. We ended up seeing it on our way back to our hotel room later in the night, but it was too late. We literally drove back and forth on one particular road 6 times… very annoying!
Thanks!
Get It.
